Houston nosotros take a problem! Months after the announcement of the Vita it was appear that the handheld is region free simply like the PS3 where any region game can run on any region of console but information technology seems that one Sony client got very aroused when he constitute out that this is not truthful and that all the sites "misinterpreted" Sony's statements.
This is surely going to put Sony in an awkward position every bit many gaming sites confirmed that the organisation WOULD exist region gratuitous just Sony never spoke out almost this, This is surely problem in paradise for Sony if it does prove to be true.
Sony is actually in for it now, months after the announcement of the Vita many sites did indeed ostend that the system would be region gratuitous, these include Joystiq, IGN, Geek, CVG (Computers and Video Games) and fifty-fifty Kotaku merely a contempo conversation between a PlayStation Vita customer with a Japanese Vita who tried to transfer his purchases to the system was met with something that did non satisfy him. Yous can read the transcript below because the source is a forum thread from the official Sony forums and can be removed at any fourth dimension: (You can besides view the images of the original conversation by going to the lesser of the page)

I have the Japanese PS Vita and have been trying to transfer my PSP games to information technology, but the games won't show upwardly under content director when they should.
I have followed instructions to transfer them, but no luck.
I have both Mod nation and Petty large planet PSP games on my PSN account from the welcome dorsum program and they are on my PS3, uninstalled. And then when I turn on content director to transfer them to my vita, they won't show upwards on the content manager and I followed the instructions precisely.
(same thing for transferring downloads from my PSN off of my pc)I have the United states of america psn and the US ps3 slim.
Tin can some aid be offered?I know transferring the games IS possible, only whats up?
And there you have it folks, proof that the system is not region free after all and that the above mention sites "misquoted" Sony. What is really surprising is how Sony never responded to these sites just like they were and so quick to shoot down rumors of a PlayStation 4 not making a show at this years E3. They had plenty of months to remove this "confusion" merely they chose to remain silent.
Could this really exist true? Judging from the above conversation I would say its very probable to be and I hope that Sony comes out and proves it otherwise, For now all I can say is that I hope this is an fault on the customer support cease and that the Vita is indeed region gratuitous.
